Nifty June futures trade at premium

The Nifty June 2022 futures closed at 15,701, representing a premium of 8.85 points as compared with the Nifty's closing of 15,692.15 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 79.32 lakh crore compared with Rs 71.41 lakh crore reported in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index lost 39.95 points or 0.25% to settle at 15,692.15.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 1.18% to 22.15.

Reliance Industries, Infosys and Tata Steel were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The June 2022 F&O contracts will expire on 30 June 2022.
