Revenue from operations stood at Rs 3,598.67 crore in Q4 FY23, up 8.8% from Rs 3,307.37crore posted in Q4 FY22.
Profit before tax dropped 98.1% to Rs 6.39 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23 as against Rs 333.47 crore recorded in the same period last year.
Total expenses rose 19.11% to Rs 3,630.04 crore in Q4 FY23. Cost of raw material consumed was at Rs 1,632.97 crore (down 8.24% YoY) while employee benefit expenses stood at Rs 48.88 crore (up 9.89% YoY).
On full year basis, the company's consolidated net profit declined 34% YoY to Rs 1,034.22 crore despite of 72.8% increase in revenue to Rs 27,772.81 crore in FY23 over FY22.
Meanwhile, the firm's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 3 per equity share for FY23, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals manufactures ammonia, urea, pesticides and other products for farming and other agricultural applications. The company also provides consulting services to farmers on their seeding programs.
The scrip ended 0.47% higher at Rs 286.35 on Friday, 26 May 2023.
