Singapore Stocks end in red
(16:10, 07 Jun 2023)
The Singapore stock market finished session slightly lower on Wednesday, 07 June 2023, as a bigger-than-expected drop in Chinese exports weighed on sentiment.

Data released earlier showed China's exports fell 7.5% from a year ago in May. The fall serves as the latest reminder the world's second-largest economy is contending with a fading recovery, stoking fresh concerns about global growth.

At closing bell, the Straits Times Index (STI) index was down 10.53 points, or 0.33%, to 3,179.58 after trading between 3,175.76 and 3,192.25. Volume of 1.08 billion shares worth S$948.61 million changed hands. There were 255 gainers and 247 decliners.
