The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 19,666, a premium of 1.30 points compared with the Nifty's closing 19,664.70 in the cash market. In the cash market, the Nifty 50 shed 9.85 points or 0.05% to settle at 19,664.70.
The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 2.61% to 11.19.
HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
